Occupational therapy prepares the resident to return to daily living while participating in meaningful activities. We help develop and strengthen skills, adapt to environments and train caregivers to allow our residents to be as independent as safely possible.
Our occupational therapy targets:
- Functional independence such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and homemaking skills.
- Maintenance of wellness by providing individualized home programs.
- We assess our residents home needs and provide activities that they can do on their own to maintain a degree of independence.
- Prevention of further disability by conducting a home assessment prior to being discharged on a per individual case.
